Sotheby’s is honoured to unveil The Magnificent Cellars of Willy Michiels | A Passion for Collecting — a monumental collection of mature Bordeaux and Burgundy. Covering nearly a century of winemaking mastery (1925–2012), it stands among the greatest private cellars ever brought to auction around the globe through a series of sales. Beginning with two Grand Inaugural sales in Paris, Day 1 opens with a liquid encyclopaedia of exceptional Burgundy Grands Crus including the legendary Henri Jayer followed by a monumental array of Bordeaux First Growths and their Right Bank equivalents including Petrus and Le Pin, finishing with stunning Yquem.
