65% Tinto Fino, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, Malbec and Albillo. Some earthy mushrooms on the nose, along with violets and aniseed. Lovely rich earth, opulent, almost 'Burgundian' taste.

Lots of sweet, melting, violetty fruit. Elements of a great, minerally, top Côte de Nuits with extra aniseed! Thicker than the 1962 and much spicier, with an earthy finish. In 2013, more youthful on the nose. The aniseed is there, plus super-sweetness, just dissolving on the palate. A superb bottle - and pure Vega this time! Serena Sutcliffe, MW
