Only 3000 bottles released. A fantastic bouquet of honeysuckle and Spring flowers, with an after-scent of violets. Then it became orange blossom. This is a true Krug with the character of Ambonnay marrying power and finesse. Already there are many layers to this Champagne, with beautiful balancing acidity. Tremendous orange zests on the palate and a superfine texture. Such freshness and with such a long finish. I wonder whether a taste of walnuts will kick in as it matures in bottle? A suivre, as the French say..
