Description
Château Beychevelle 1970
St. Julien, 4ème Cru Classé
u. 3vts, 3ts, 1hs, bin-soiled and wine-stained labels, slightly sunken corks, 1 corroded capsule
In 2023, such a perfumed nose - this was always the lure of this wine in this variable vintage. Smoky/cedary and so very St.julien. On the palate, silkily slips down, with delicious, charming, soft fruit flavour and a lovely sweetness. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
