Description
Château Lafite 1999
Pauillac, 1er Cru Classé
Levels into the neck
Draconian selection produced this level of quality. Early on, there was an aromatic nose, not as ripe as 2000 and 200l, and a real coffee taste which was very winning. A recent bottle had a really interesting mocha and cassis nose, with a touch of cloves. Very lanolin texture. Not absolute ripeness, but a very good cherry flavour. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
