Description
Château Pavie 1999
St. Emilion, 1er Grand Cru Classé (A)
Levels bn or into the neck
A sumptuous nose, violets and ripe fruit. Ultra-silky, beautiful wine. This is a terrific vintage for the property. Quite enchanting. In 2009, a beautifully perfumed nose of violets. Very tempting. Lovely, sweet and ripe in the mouth - not a trace of the "greenness" one can see in some 1999s. Delicious. And another bottle had a really spicy nose and total attack and definition on the palate. Glorious depth and complexity. Great irony structure and yet it melts in the mouth. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
