M. Roland Michel, Anne Vallayer-Coster 1744–1818, Paris 1970, p. 191, no. 277 (under rejected attributions, as possibly executed in the 19th century by a follower of Anne Vallayer Coster).

An attribution to the French artist Louis Tessier (circa 1719–1781), whose œuvre consists mostly of still-life compositions with elements of architecture and design, has been suggested.1
