Dishes of this beribboned lotus bouquet design originated in blue-and-white wares of the Yongle period, and were later revived and copied during the Yongzheng and Qianlong reigns in a variety of sizes, and occasionally set against a bright yellow enamel ground. See also a Qianlong example (lot 3656) in this collection.

一把蓮紋花枝曼麗，蓮蓬盛開，莖葉浮動，源可遠溯明代永樂青花。雍、乾兩朝復古之風尤盛，且相繼仿燒，見青花及黃地青花兩類，尺寸各異。可參考同場乾隆例，拍品編號3656。
