height (including base): 24.1cm., 9½in.
Conceived circa 1898-1899 and cast in bronze in an edition of at least 18; this example was cast in bronze in 1922-23.
This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'œuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin being currently prepared by Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2022-6564B.
