Description

NIKE, NIKE SB DUNK LOW PRO, SIZE 10

Rubber, Suede, Leather, Cotton

2002

One subset of Nike SB's Orange Box series - and first year of the SB line - was the ‘Sharks’, ‘Flash’, and ‘Loden’ trifecta. The three designs shared similarities in color blocking design, each highlighting a simple two-toned style, as well as the use of the same fabrics.

The ‘Flash’ colorway features a vivid orange upper with black suede overlay and a smooth black leather Swoosh. The design rests on a white midsole and black rubber outsole. This two-tone composition and padded tongue are emblematic of the early SB designs.

The Nike SB Dunk made its formal debut in 2002, when Nike officially reworked the famed Dunk basketball sneaker originally designed in the 1980s with upgrades suited for the skateboarding community. The man behind it, former Nike executive Sandy Bodecker, is credited with building one of Nike’s most beloved subdivisions in the early 2000s with the Nike SB line.
