This 2003 Nike Dunk Low was designed by legendary sneaker customizer Methamphibian. Originally from New York, Methamphibian made a name for himself as one of the foremost experts in sneaker customization with his unique designs and techniques. 

In the early aughts Methamphibian joined the AMC crew, “a group of people who collectively had the illest collection of sneakers” he told UK blog The Hundreds in 2012. The group included Ben Baller, DJ Homicide, and the late DJ AM; Methamphibian has credited Ben Baller with introducing him to the Los Angeles store Undefeated, where these customized shoes were sold.

This customized pair takes inspiration from the Air Jordan 3, with the use of elephant print overlays. The lines of the print are hand-painted in navy, matching the Swoosh, side panels and outsoles. 

In vivid yellow, Methamphibian painted his own logo on the left toe, and on the right he painted the iconic Undefeated logo. The Nike branding on the heel tab is also painted in the same yellow.
