Conceived between 1882 and 1885; this example executed on 10 July 1984 by the Musée Rodin at the Emile Godard foundry as number 1 from an edition 10, numbered 1 to 8 plus two numbered I/II and II/II.


This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'œuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin currently being prepared by the Comité Rodin in collaboration with Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2008-2151B.
