A Roman Bronze Oil Lamp

1st Century A.D.


with ring foot and circular body merging into two spade-shaped nozzles and flanked by bull protomes, each nozzle set out from the body by a collar terminating in twin rosettes, two ducks each with head for suspension flanking the sunken discus.

Height 15.5 cm; length 39 cm.
