Showa period, 20th century
each a woodblock print, signed Hasui, sealed Kawase, and comprising:
- Yakumo Bridge at Nagata Shrine in Kobe (Kobe Nagata jinja Yakumobashi), from the series Collected Views of Japan II, Kansai Edition (Nihon fukei shu II Kansai hen), titled in the left margin, publisher's circular seal Watanbe (Watanabe Shozaburo) to lower right corner, dated Showa gonen jugatsu saku (made in October 1930), post-war printing
- May Rain at Arakawa (Gogatsu ame, Arakawa), titled in the right margin, publisher’s mark to the lower left margin Hanken shoyu Doi hanga-ten [copyright reserved, Doi print dealers] and watermark Do, with carver’s mark Harada and printer’s mark Yokoi, dated Showa shichinen rokugatsu saku (made in June 1932), the reverse stamped Made in Japan, post-war printing
