A PAIR OF MEISSEN OVAL SMALL BASKETS, CIRCA 1735
modeled by Johann Joachim Kändler, the exteriors molded with basketwork and affixed with two handles terminating in masks representing the four seasons, the interiors painted with vignettes of two cockerels and the rims embellished in gilding, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue
