Edwin H. Land, who invented the instant 'Land Camera' in 1947, had a long relationship with Ansel Adams, beginning in 1948 when Land invited him to the Polaroid Corporation factory.  The two became close friends over the many years that Adams worked as a consultant for Land and the Polaroid Corporation.
