This exclusive limited-edition GMT-Master II was created by Rolex in honor of the Sea King Helicopter, with only 123 pieces ever manufactured. The Sea King served in the British military from 1969, utilised by both the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force, notably in roles such as Royal Navy Search and Rescue and RAF Search and Rescue Force operations. The retirement of the last Sea King occurred in 2018, marking the end of an era. These specially commissioned GMT-Master II models were exclusively distributed to serving or former members of the Armed Forces associated with the Sea King helicopters and were not made available to the general public. Rolex has maintained a longstanding partnership with the British military, resulting in coveted limited editions tailored for special forces, which are highly sought-after by collectors.

This particular timepiece is numbered 111/123 and is accompanied by its warranty card, card holder, product literature, numbered hang tag, photocopies of imagery from various missions and flight records, two Sea-King patches and one Search and Rescue Training unit insignia, Watches of Switzerland certificate of limited edition, career report from original owner and presentation case with outer packaging.
