Rectangular, the lid as a pierced silver-gilt grille engraved with birds, gem-set butterflies and foliage, overlaid over a mirror, within a polished gilt border, on a silver ground with a chequered pattern, protruding reeded thumbpiece, the interior fitted with three lidded compartments for powder, two lipstick holders, signed: Boucheron Paris, further struck: BT No 875012, in original velvet-lined leather case stamped: BOUCHERON /London 180 New Bond Street/ New York 610 Fifth Avenue/26 Place Vendôme/PARIS
