Bo Bartlett is a realist painter in the tradition of American masters like Thomas Eakins, Andrew Wyeth, and Winslow Homer, who blends memories, dreams, and scenarios from his life and the world around him into narratives imbued with mystery and surrealist undertones. Bartlett has had numerous exhibitions in the US and abroad; has received awards including the Philadelphia Museum's PEW Fellowship in the Arts; Museum Merit Award, Columbus Museum of Art; Charles Toppan Prize, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia; and his work is in the collections of the Greenville County Museum of Art; Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia; Santa Barbara Museum of Art; Hunter Museum of American Art, Chattanooga; Denver Museum of Art; and Seattle Art Museum, among others.
