Less dense colour than 2000. Scented, aromatic, redcurrant nose. Spicy and peppery. Such elegance and finesse. Then the chocolate comes after an hour in the glass. There is a touch of beautiful oak on the palate, with masses of come-hither fruit. This is a great 1999. Fine textured. Seamless and silky.
