the eagle-head spout with acanthus leaf terminal decorated with panels of brown enamel feathers and gilding, painted with two cartouches of chinoiserie figures including one figure boiling tea, reserved within Böttger-lustre filled frames embellished with puce and iron-red scrollwork, flanked by indianische Blumenand winged insects, the shoulder with a band of gilded scrollwork, affixed with a scroll handle painted with indianische Blumen, the domed cover with similar chinoiserie figures in a continuous landscape, K.P.M. mark underglaze-blue, gilded numeral 81. to both
