naturalistically modeled and painted with brown fur, with iron-red collars, each recumbent on a cushion picked out in green with incised decoration around the edge

A similarly enameled pair of these rare models is in the Jessie and Sigmund Katz Collection in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, acc. nos. 64.1016 and 1017. A further pair left in the white is in the National Museum of Scotland, acc. nos. A.1956.1207 and 1207A.
