Nicknamed 'Big Red', reference 6265 marks an important step in the evolution of the Daytona family. Rolex jointly introduced the present reference and the 6263 in the early 1970s, which was available until 1988, the main difference between the two being a black bezel insert or a stainless one. Powered by the famous manually-wound Valjoux 727 calibre, reference 6265 retains its classic stainless steel tachymeter bezel and its utility is further enhanced by the screw-down pushers and crown that guarantees waterproofness to the case with its screw-down back.
