The 1980s and 1990s were a period of trial and error for Julian Van Winkle. With strong demand from far away markets like Japan and but only occasional interest at home, he tried a variety of proofs, ages, and packaging for his bourbons and ryes. Green Glass bottlings were finished by 1999, making this a prime 90's bottling of great liquid! this bottling is believed to be the first release of what is now the standardized 12 Year Old Lot ""B""
