This table, composed of colored planes, is a perfect expression of De Stijl's ideas. The model was designed in 1923 specifically for the house built by Rietveld for Truus Schröder in Utrecht, in which they lived until their death.

Our example was made around 1958-1964 by Gerard van de Groenekan, who had been in charge of Rietveld's furniture production since 1925, when he was too busy with his architectural projects. It came from the Truus Schröder collection and has remained in the family to this day.

A similar model is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art collection (inv. 2021.142) and the Museum of Modern Art collection (inv. 370.1985), New York

Cette table, composée de plans colorés, est une parfaite expression des idées de De Stijl. Le modèle a été conçu en 1923 spécifiquement pour la maison construite par Rietveld pour Truus Schröder à Utrecht et dans laquelle ils vécurent jusqu’à leur mort.

Notre exemplaire, a été réalisé vers 1958-1964 par Gerard van de Groenekan, en charge depuis 1925 de la production du mobilier de Rietveld, alors trop occupé par ses projets architecturaux. Il provient de la collection de Truus Schröder et est resté dans la famille jusqu’à ce jour.
