of compressed globular form and supported on three crisply moulded paw supports, the exterior embellished with three sprig-moulded appliqué medallions of palmettes at the shoulder, alternating with three large floral medallions on the rounded body, the cover centred with a lotus-bud finial, covered overall save for the interior and base with a lustrous amber lead glaze with green and reserved white spots, Japanese wood box
