of compressed globular form, rising from a flat base to a wide shoulder surmounted by a short straight neck, the upper body decorated with two ribbed bands, the upper band interrupted by a pair of applied vertical lug handles suspending loose rings on top of two rectangular patches of impressed scrollwork, the sides unevenly applied with a thin layer of light olive-green glaze, the base unglazed, Japanese wood box
