The Satellite mirror was designed for the E. 1027 villa, Eileen Gray's first architectural creation in collaboration with Jean Badovici from 1926 to 1929, in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France.
In the 1980s, Andrée Putman and Ecart International reedited this mirror, which became a Design icon of the 20th century.
In the bathroom of Karl Lagerfeld's appartment in Rome, fitted out by Andrée Putman in 1982, the mirror stands out against a wall of black and white chequered ceramic tiles emblematic of her style.
