Description

Glen Moray One of One 30 Year Old 1995

  • A unique, one of one bottle 30 Year Old Glen Moray, finished in a cask that has held peated whisky previously.

  • Bottled at 54.1% abv in a Glencairn crystal decanter.

  • The winning bidder will also be invited to enjoy a dinner in Elgin with an overnight stay, alongside a tasting with Head of Whisky Creation, Stephen Woodcock.

  • The experience will also include sample bottles for the winning bidder to enjoy or share with friends.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Luxuriously rich vintage oak spice notes are overlaid with a subtle hint of campfire smoke. Underlying is a rich sweet, honeyed character which is undeniably Glen Moray in style but with a subtle twist. Sweet, caramelised bananas are lying comfortably with a very slight hint of iodine.

Taste: Initially a burst of earth and smoke combine with oak spice but they gently fade into vanilla, honey and green tea. The finish is long and lingering and continues to develop (late into the night) with stem ginger, pineapple all intertwined with the ethereal smoke that has been overlayed onto this wonderful expression of Glen Moray.

1 bottle 70cl + experience (presentation case)
