Piaget was found in 1874, but they did not open their first showroom until 1959 on the rue du Rhone in Geneva. Unlike all of the other “jewelry” watch brands, Piaget always took their watchmaking seriously, and never saw watches as simply, a brand extension. This can be seen in how thin their watch movements and cases are, which is a point of pride with Swiss watchmakers.
The present watch powered by not one, but two manual winding movements, with the two subdials indicating each of the time zones independently.
