Eight woodblock prints from the untitled series of Large Fish
Edo period, 19th century
Each a woodblock print, variously signed Ichiryusai Hiroshige ga, Hiroshige ga, or Hiroshige hitsu, including two separate series; the first published by Nishimuraya Yohachi (Eijudo) circa 1832-33, the second by Yamadaya Shojiro and Maruya Jinpachi (Enjudo), circa 1840-42, and comprising:
- Bonito and Saxifrage, censor's seal kiwame, published by Nishimuraya Yohachi, circa 1832-33
- Halibut, Plaice and Wild Cherry, no publisher's mark but published by Yamadaya Shojiro, circa 1840-42
- Trout, sealed Ichiryusai, published by Nishimuraya Yohachi (Eijudo), circa 1832-33
- Striped Sea Bream, Rock-trout and Nandina, sealed Ichiryusai, no
publisher's mark but published by Yamadaya Shojiro, circa 1840-42
- Abalone, Needlefish, and Peach Blossoms, no publisher's mark but published by Nishimuraya Yohachi (Eijudo), circa 1832-33
- Mullet, Asparagus, and Camellia, no publisher's mark but published by Nishimuraya Yohachi (Eijudo), circa 1832-33
