An incredibe image of Apollo 16 Commander John Young leaping from the lunar surface as he salutes the United States flag at the Descartes landing site during the mission's first EVA. Stone Mountain dominates the background of the lunar landscape, while LM Orion and the Far Ultraviolet Camera/Spectrograph (FUC/S) are visible just behind Young.
