A GERMAN SILVER KIDDUSH CUP FOR SUKKOT, JOHANN FRIEDRICH EHE, NUREMBERG, 1789-93


On domed base chased with shellwork, octagonal baluster stem, the bowl chased with lobes and with a band of flat-chased flowers, the octagonal rim with Hebrew inscription translated as “Holiday of Sukkot, observe for seven days” punctuated by a flower

markedon bowl and foot rim with maker, city, date letter and assay scrape

height 5 1/8 in.
