Second edition, 2 volumes, folio (388 x 247 mm.), titles printed in red and black, 51 engraved maps (double-page or folding), 8 engraved plates showing Roman and Saxon coins and one further plate showing Welsh antiquities, engraved vignette of Stonehenge, woodcut vignettes in the text, contemporary panelled calf, spines with raised bands in seven compartments, red morocco labels to second compartment, sprinkled edges, marbled endpapers, lacking the engraved frontispiece of the author by R. White, extremities slightly rubbed
Second edition of Gibson's translation, featuring many revisions to Morden's maps, and an entirely new map of North Wales.
