Autograph postcard signed, to Professor Alfred Bucherer, advising him that he has received a correction to a paper relating to a "forgotten factor" ("...eines vergessenen Faktors u/v2 erhalten..."), but that he has not received a letter explaining the correction and asking him to write to him again, in German, [Berlin], 140 x 90mm, "Dienstag" (postmarked 24 October 1917), tear neatly repaired, slight creasing, remains of mount


This postcard refers to a comment by Bucherer suggesting a revision to paper by Einstein. This card almost certainly elicited a letter from Bucherer that resulted in a response by Einstein refuting Bucherer's proposed change (see next lot).
