Autograph letter signed ("IKant"), to an unnamed correspondent [Johann Erich Biester in Berlin]
a letter of introduction for Christian Friedrich Jentsch, describing him as his 'trustworthy friend of many years, clear-thinking, enlightened, and well-read', asking him to introduce him to people who could be of interest to him, mentioning von Hippel and Scheffner, referring to some of his own writings, namely his [1794] essay on the influence of the moon [on the weather], which has not yet arrived in Königsberg, and Das Ende aller Dinge
...Von unserem gemeinschaftlichen litterärischen Angelegenheiten habe ich für jetzt nichts anzumerken, als daß meine, in der berl. Zeitung angezeigte, Abhandlung vom Mondseinflüsse (Monat Mai) bis jetzt in Königsberg noch nicht angelangt. --die, über das Ende aller Dinge, erwarte ich also nicht vor Ende des Julius bey uns anlangen zu sehen...

Kant's unnamed correspondent was Johann Erich Biester (1749-1816), editor of the Berlinische Monatsschrift, Kant's preferred journal. The Königsberg councillor C.F. Jensch (1743-1802) was a regular table guest of Kant's and closely associated with Theodor Gottlieb von Hippel, Kant's friend and former student.
