Last drunk in 2013 and an absolute lesson in breed, beauty and balance. Huge flavour, limey fascination, utter youth and a long, long finish. Makes one yearn for the top white Burgundies of old! Serena Sutcliffe, MW

Starting with Roumier and finishing with Vega Sicilia, travelling through the brilliant vineyards of Europe, this private collection with a specific interest in Burgundy, was amassed over 6 decades by a passionate collector with an enormous appreciation of the world’s very best wines far ahead of its time in its discerning taste. There is a distinct focus on the 1980’s with a plethora of Burgundy with a wonderful array of illustrious Domaine from Georges Roumier, Georges Mugneret, Michel Niellon, Comtes Lafon, Hubert de Montille and rarely seen – but a kept secret – Michel Gaunoux.
