This Nike shirt was worn by Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal at the 2012 French Open. Nadal had won the tournament six previous years, and 2012 would be no different. Nadal rose to the challenge posed by Novak Djokovic, winning their match 6–4, 6–3, 2–6, 7–5 for his seventh title at Roland Garros. The win tied both Chris Everett’s record for most French Open titles by a man or woman and the men’s all-time record for most titles won at one major, held by Pete Sampras. Nadal would continue his dominance of the French Open, winning it the next two consecutive years and again from 2017 to 2020.

Nadal’s 2012 French Open-worn Nike shirt has a geometric tone-on-tone pattern throughout the body with black striping on the shoulders. A white Nike swoosh is present on the left shoulder as well as inside the collar. Rafael Nadal’s “Raging Bull” logo is printed on the lower right side hem in black.
