Sterling silver fountain pen by Krone, limited to 288 examples, each with a fragment of one of Ruth's game-used bat mounted at the top of the clip, polychrome barrel depicting the Babe's home run pose, white celluloid casing and cap with pinstriping evocative of the Yankees' uniforms, piston-filler, medium 18K two-tone gold nib, never inked. Original presentation box in pinstriped flannel with applied number 3, with manufacturer's papers and outer box.
