The sculptor appears to have been influenced by the master German painter and sculptor, Hans Multscher, who was one of the most prominent Swabian artists of the time. The treatment of the drapery here recalls that of the Swabian Master, with its defined, generous folds that cascade down the figure. A similar drapery scheme can be found in a sculpture of Saint Ursula by Multscher reproduced in Manfred Tripps.1
