7-inch dial with mask and scroll spandrels, signed Markwick, London, matted centre with mock pendulum and date apertures, strike/silent dial in the arch, the fusee movement with five knopped and ringed pillars, reinstated verge escapement, pull quarter repeating on a next of six bells and striking the hours on a further bell, the backplate engraved with flowers and foliate scrolls, case with a pierced gilt double basket top and adorsed terms carrying handle above unusual finials, trellis door frets and pierced gilt escutcheon plates, on moulded feet,
