Royal: two Egyptian gold zarfs

mid-20th century

The bodies composed of three bands of crowned cartouches containing the monogram of King Farouk I of Egypt and the Sudan, on splayed feet, the stands formed of the same cartouches, one zarf and stand with enameled decoration on the crowns.

5.5cm., 2 1/4in. high

168gr.

Given to Charles and Marguerite Castro in Egypt by King Farouk,

by descent to the current owner.
