Patek Philippe celebrated their 175th anniversary with a series of limited edition commemorative pieces including this attractive multi-scale chronograph wristwatch, reference 5975.

The special edition model features three logarithmic scales: 

The Tachometer - measuring speed

The Telemeter - measuring distance

The Pulsometer - measuring heartbeats per minute

This dial configuration was inspired by the historically important chronograph timepieces of the 20th century. Without question, these multi-scale chronograph watches were invaluable tools during the Second World War. 

The Ref 5975 is the first automatic chronograph-only timepiece produced by the manufacture, and even more unique, a chronograph without registers or subsidiary seconds. The timepiece itself possesses the utmost aesthetic and technical finesse, creating an elegant and legible dial despite its complexity. The large 40 mm case is rendered with strong stepped lugs that taper and confirms to the wrist.
