Born in 1937, Mahinder Singh studied Fine Art and Ceramics. In 1965, Singh was awarded a Post-Graduate research scholarship by the Government of India under the Indo-Czechoslovak cultural exchange programme. Singh has experimented with a number of mediums throughout his career, including oil, watercolour, graphics and ceramics, and has exhibited widely in India and Europe. His works have been housed in the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, National Gallery of Art, Prague, National Museum of Modern Art, The Hague and the Museum of Modern Art, New York (Courtesy Surya Archives).
