Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, with hairlines

Movement: “Chinese” caliber finely engraved, duplex escapement, plain flat three-arm balance, diamond end stone, engraved gilt metal cuvette

Case: 18k gold and enameled en plein with a scene of children and a hound playing in a garden, attributed to Jean-Louis Richter, champlevé enamel bezels, pendant and bow 

Size: 59 mm diameter

Signed: case and cuvette numbered, movement signed and numbered

The scene on the present watch is reminiscent of that of a watch illustrated in Ian White, The Majesty of the Chinese Market watch see pp. 178 and 183, illustration no. 5.85c. White notes that the scene is after an enamel painting Bob Cherry by William Hamilton which was after an engraving by Francesco Bartolozzi, a founder of the Royal Academy of Art in London.
