Old Grommes was a brand used for a series of Japanese-market bottlings from the late 1980s to the mid 1990s. This brand is well known among whiskey enthusiasts in Japan, but is almost unknown in the United States. It is believed and confirmed that some Old Grommes are A.H. Hirsch, some Old Gromes are Stizel-Weller and some are Beam distillate. The 125 proof is often believed to be Stitzel-Weller
