Popoki

Popoki is an anonymous digital artist who plays in the space between technology, nostalgic pixel art and internet pop culture. A self described “Cat Connoisseur” Popoki was an early adopter of Ordinals in February of 2023 and began experimenting with the primitive tooling.

Catz and Buttz are an animated sub 6k Ordinal Collection aimed at bringing levity to some of the first inscriptions ever put on bitcoin. With only 10 in existence, each Cat has a unique aesthetic and backstory which fully embrace their absurdist humor, mostly via their twitter handle (@Catzandbuttz). This litter of handcrafted pixelated felines taps directly into the internet's true source of power - Inappropriate Cats. Now forever memorialized on Bitcoin, their infamous Buttz have secured their place in blockchain history.
