FLOWN APOLLO 12 FLAG, SIGNED BY LMP ALAN BEAN
Alan Bean was the fourth person to walk on the moon as part of the second mission to land humans on the lunar surface. While the Apollo 11 astronauts spent only around two and a half hours walking on the Moon, the Apollo 12 astronauts spent nearly seven and a half, during which they deployed an improved Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package to run tests not possible during Apollo 11.
This flown flag and mission patch are presented together with a signed photograph of Alan Bean holding a special environmental sample container of lunar soil. A Hasselblad camera is mounted on the chest of his spacesuit, and Commander Pete Conrad, who took this image in November of 1969, is clearly reflected in the visor of Bean's helmet.
