le couvercle gravé d'après Jost Amman, représentant un prince de Bavière, Electeur du Saint-Empire, avec, à ses côtés, un lévrier et un écusson, l'intérieur en bois
Long. 22 cm ; Larg. 16,5 cm
La planche d'Amman Jost (1539-1591) figure dans les collections du musée du Louvre (612 C/ Recto). Elle fait partie d'une suite de quatre-vingt planches initialement destinées à illustrer un ouvrage de Johann Turmair (Johannes Aventinus), New Holstein German engravings, etchings and woodcuts, 1400-1700, Jost Amman, Book illustrations, part.
