Philip Mueller (b.1988, Austria) attended the University of Applied Arts, Vienna and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
An exciting, emerging young artist, Mueller’s works are best characterized as ‘cacophonous’ large scale paintings of intense colour and manipulation of form. Mueller is one of the founding members behind "Wiener Achse" an association for Transnational and Intergenerational exchange of the Arts.
Mueller has had several solo shows both in the UAE and Austria, most recently including, TIBE NOW - Free Drinks, Boots and Tickets to the Apocalypse, SPM, Dubai (2019); Dreams In Blue. The Year Philip Mueller Didn’t Wake Up, Carbon 12, Dubai and several others in his native Vienna, such as, Kaputtissimo, Galerie Austria, Vienna (2014).
Recent international group exhibitions include, The Shadow, TOTAH, New York (2020); I can bite the hand that feeds me, and gently caress it too, Carbon 12, Dubai (2018) and Dead End Galaxies, Exile Gallery, Berlin (2018).
His works are included in several prominent private collections, namely the SPM: Salsali Private Museum, Dubai; Farook Foundation, Dubai and 21er Haus, Vienna.
Mueller lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
